Ecotourism is a form of tourism that involves visiting natural areas—in the remote wilderness or rural environments. According to the definition and principles of ecotourism established by The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) in 1990, ecotourism is sustainable and responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people

Ecotourism has articulated the core principles of sustainability in the travel and tourism industry and therefore plays a leading role within the industry as a whole. The purpose of ecotour is to educate the traveler, to provide funds for ecological conservation, to directly benefit the economic development and political empowerment of local communities, or to foster respect for different cultures and for human rights. All the tourists who visit ecosystem and nature are called eco tourists and the huge part of the most countries income are provided by the tourists. First travelers who visited Serengeti in Africa or the first adventurers who climbed the Himalayas about 50 years ago are known as the first ecotourists.

Ecotourism activities are gradually becoming popular in Iran. Iran has various natural attractions such as temperate forests in the north with high humidity and rainfall (1700 mm), deserts and salt lakes in the central part of Iran, high mountains (such as 5,604 meter‐high Mount Damavand), glaciers and coastal areas. Plus Iran, in fact, has ten national parks and over 40 protected areas, holding nearly five percent of its land to natural preservation which is home to 514 bird, 172 mammal, 199 reptile, 20 amphibian, 173 fish and 9000 plant species. Popular ecotourism activities in Iran include trekking in mountains, desert treks, birdwatching in coastal areas and wetlands, and diving. The existence of a large cultural diversity is another important characteristic that can attracts Ecotourists to Iran.

A jungle is a land covered with dense vegetation dominated by trees. Application of the term has varied greatly during the last several centuries. Jungles in Western literature often represent a less civilized or unruly space outside the control of civilization. Some attribute this to the jungle's association in colonial discourse with places that were colonized by Europeans. Because jungles occur on all inhabited landmasses and may incorporate numerous vegetation and land types, the wildlife of jungles can’t be defined which consists of the biota of the constitute land type and region.

Camping is an elective outdoor recreational activity. Generally participants leave developed areas to spend time outdoors in more natural ones in pursuit of activities providing them enjoyment. In this activity a minimum of one night is spent outdoors, distinguishing it from day-tripping, picnicking and other similarly short-term recreational activities. Camping may involve sheltering in the open air, a tent, caravan, or primitive structure. Camping as a recreational activity became popular among elites in the early 20th century. Within time it grew more democratic and varied. Modern participants frequent publicly owned natural resources such as national and state parks, wilderness areas and commercial campgrounds. Camping is a key part of many youth organizations around the world, such as Scouting, which use it to teach both self-reliance and teamwork. Camping often allows us to stay in the heart of the most breathtaking natural scenery.

Nature photography refers to a wide range of photography taken outdoors and devoted to displaying natural elements such as landscapes, wildlife, plants and close-ups of natural scenes and textures. Nature photography tends to put a stronger emphasis on the aesthetic value of the photo than other photography genres, such as photojournalism and documentary photography. Wildlife photography is devoted to capturing animals in their natural habitats. The animals are often photographed in action. In wildlife photography wide apertures are used to achieve a fast shutter speed, freeze the subject's motion and blur the backgrounds, while landscape photographers prefer small apertures. Wildlife is also usually shot with long telephoto lenses from a great distance; the use of such telephoto lenses frequently necessitates the use of a tripod (since the longer the lens, the harder it is to handhold). Many wildlife photographers use blinds or camouflage. The macro photography article explains close-up photography in general; however, this is also a type of nature photography. While common macro subjects – bees, dragonflies, and so on – could be described as wildlife, their world also makes for good photography. Many photographers record images of the texture in a stone, tree bark, leaf or any of other small scenes.
