Day 01: Tabriz (Azerbaijan Province )

Airport Transfer, and city excursion ( Tabriz Bazaar , Blue Mosque ). 

 

Arrival at Tabriz  International airport (Shahid Madani International Airport), we will meet you and transfer you to your hotel afterward you will have time to visit the exotic bazaar which is one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East and the largest covered traditional bazaar in the world and a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. The next place to visit is Kabood (Blue) Mosque Remainings of a Great Mosque Kabood or Jahanshah which dates back to 870 CE after the supervision of Jahanshah’s wife, Jan Beigum Khatoon. 02: Kandovan , Ardebil (Azarbaijan Province)

Sightseeing: Kandovan village,  Sheikh Safi- od Din Mausoleum.

 

In the morning we drive to Kandovan village. Kandovan volcanic village (approx 152 km roundtrip). After passing the city of Oskoo and beautiful mountainous scenery we will reach this marvelous village. The special architecture of Kandovan is the reason of its universal reputation. Its dwellers carved the rocks of mountains and settled their lives there. The archeologists have estimated the antiquity of this village to 3000 years ago. The main activities of people in this splendid village are ranching, husbandry and gardening. The scene of piping in the rocks of the mountain indicates the co-existence of human beings and the surrounding environment. Kandovan is a beautiful sample of the presence and use of nature in men’s lives. Then we drive to Ardabil to visit Sheikh Safi- od Din Mausoleum (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE) Archaeology museum and Ilkhanid Mongol (Jame’a) mosque. Overnight in Ardebil.

Day 03: Fooman , Masouleh village

Sightseeing:  Rudkhan Castle , Masouleh Village and photography and bird watching in Masouleh.

 

In the morning we drive to Fooman city to visit Rudkhan Castle, it is a brick and stone medieval castle that once was a military complex. Then visit Masouleh village with its unique architecture. The buildings are interconnected and have been built into the mountain. The Courtyards and roofs both serve as pedestrian areas similar to streets. No vehicle or motor is permitted to enter the city. You walk in the city and enjoy local people selling their handicrafts and stay overnight in Masouleh village.

Day 04 : Qazvin

Sightseeing :  Chehelsotoon mansion and Saad al –Saltaneh Caravanserai (UNESCO World Heritage).

 

In the morning we drive to Qazvin city. The foundation of this city dates back to Sassanid era (3rd century), in the time of Shahpur the 1st. This city was once the capital of Iran in the 16th century (Safavid era)too and today we have time to visit first ,  Chehelsotoon mansion or Kolah Ferangi. It is one of the important works of the Safavid period and the only remaining pavilion of the royal palaces of Shah Tahmasab in the middle of the 10th century AH. This building, which has an area of about 500 square meters, is built on two floors based on Iranian architecture and includes wall paintings that are a rare example of Qazvin school art. Next , we will go to Saad al-Saltaneh Caravanserai (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE ). It is one of the most famous sights of Qazvin, which was registered as a national monument in 1998. This caravanserai with an area of 26,000 square meters was used as a commercial caravanserai in the past, and today it is the largest urban caravanserai in Iran and the largest caravanserai in Qazvin. Currently, several cafes, restaurants, Qazvin handicraft shops and art schools have been established in this complex. Overnight in Qazvin.

Day 05 : Tehran

Sightseeing: Golestan Palace , Nature Bridge , Abo Atash Park (Water and Fire  Park).

 

Welcome to Iran. Home to 86 million people, Tehran is exciting, noisy and chaotic, and where the country's true national identity is found. Expect to see women wearing full-length chador competing for space with young girls in figure-hugging manteau and headscarves. The locals love nothing more than to chat, so prepare to be stopped to discuss anything and everything.Your adventure begins with visiting amazing Golestan Palace. Golestan Palace is a masterpiece of the Qajar era, embodying the successful integration of earlier Persian crafts and architecture with Western influences. This amazing Palace in 2003 was designated a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE .Afterward , during your free time, maybe try some fine Iranian cuisine like dizi (soup stew mashed into paste) while enjoying traditional music at a local restaurant.or maybe you prefer streets food. Later in the evening we will visit Tabiat Bridge or (Nature Bridge). Tabiat Bridge (Nature Bridge) is the first pedestrian overpass inside the country and the largest one in the Middle East. It is constructed in three floors having several restaurants and cafes and several benches for people to take a rest in the midway. Day 06 : Kashan , Isfahan 

Sightseeing : Azadi Tower, Tabatabai and Boroojerdi Houses, Fin Gardens , Si-o-Seh Pol Bridge.

 

We will leave Tehran and drive to Kashan, stopping to admire Azadi Tower as we depart Tehran. Kashan is a popular tourist destinations in Iran and attracts a large number of tourists each year. Kashan has a 7000 year history and we will visit the beautiful UNESCO REGISTERED SITE ( Fin Garden ) during our stay. Also we will visit both Tabatabai and Boroojerdi House, outstanding examples of upmarket historical houses typical of Kashan.Then we Leaving Kashan and your overland journey continues in Isfahan. As the 17th-century capital of the Safavid Empire, Isfahan was one of the world’s greatest cities– architecturally striking, wealthy beyond imagine, and politically powerful with Europeans, Ottomans, Indians, and Chinese coming to its court– the heart of a vast Persian Empire that stretched from the Euphrates River in present-day Iraq to the Oxus River in Afghanistan. Indeed, its grandeur inspired the rhyming proverb, Isfahan nesf e jahan (Isfahan is half of the World). 

Together with your expert guide, you will begin your exploration of the city by visiting some of the centuries-old, still elegant bridges that span Zayandeh River. The 14th-century Shahrestan Bridge, for example, evokes the greatest aqueducts of ancient Rome and is the oldest bridge in Iran. Other famous bridges on Zayandeh River are Sio-ce-pol and Khaju. There are sluice gates below the bridge to let the water runoff Zayandeh River in the spring, and there are beautiful stone archways above each gate. These archways provide a great acoustic place for every man who wants to sing. You can always find a man or a group of men singing under the bridge. Day 07: Isfahan

Sightseeing : Imam Square (Naghshe Jahan Square) Ali Qapu Palace , Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque , Shah Mosque and Isfahan Grand Bazaar and Chehel setoon Palace.

 

As the 17th-century capital of the Safavid Empire, Isfahan was one of the world's greatest cities architecturally striking, wealthy beyond imagination, and politically powerful with Europeans, Ottomans, Indians, and Chinese coming to its court– the heart of a vast Persian Empire that stretched from the Euphrates River in present-day Iraq to the Oxus River in Afghanistan. Indeed, its grandeur inspired the rhyming proverb, Isfahan nesf e jahan (Isfahan is half of the World). Imam Square of Isfahan is one of the largest city squares in the world and Built by Shah Abbas I the Great at the beginning of the 17th century. This amazing site  in 1979 was designated a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Must see this place. Imam square is surrounded by important historical buildings from the Safavid era. The Shah Mosque is situated on the south side of this square. On the west side, you can find Ali Qapu Palace. Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque is situated on the eastern side of this square and the northern side opens into the Isfahan Grand Bazaar. They are an impressive testimony to the level of social and cultural life in Persia during the Safavid era. Afterward we will visit Chehel Sotoun, literally meaning forty columns, is a royal pavilion that was built by Shah Abbas I as a place to receive ambassadors and international guests. The Chehel Sotun Palace, along with eight other gardens, is registered as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE under the name of the Persian Gulf. Overnight in Isfahan.

Day 08 : Yazd

Sightseeing : Zurkhaneh and Amir Chakhmagh Square.

 

We take up our tour by travel to the historical and UNESCO REGISTERED CITY OF YAZD . In the evening we will visit zurkhaneh. It is a combination of martial arts, strength training and music. Way before bodybuilding, Persians used to practice weightlifting in Zoorkhaneh. We can see this tradition present in ancient Iranian stories too. Afterward we visit Amir chakhmagh square. Day 09 : Yazd

Sightseeing : Jameh mosque of Yazd , Fahadan neighborhood , Alexandra Prison , Dowlat Abad Garden and Sunset in the desert .

 

In the morning we drive to visit the Fahadan neighborhood and walk through the old part of the city and enjoy in this magnificent mud brick city. We start by visiting Jameh mosque of Yazd and walking through narrow alleys to arrive to Alexandra Prison then we will visit some beautiful shops ,Art house and factories in the way then we will have a lunch and after that we will visit Dowlat Abad Garden, one of the ninth PERSIAN GARDENS registered in UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES. In the evening we will drive to desert and spending time in desert and enjoy starry sky and magnificent sunset on the duns. Overnight in Yazd.

Day 10 : Persepolis , Necropolis and Shiraz

Sightseeing :  Persepolis, Necropolis.

 

On the way to Shiraz city we will visit Persepolis, a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Persepolis founded by Darius I in 518 B.C., Persepolis was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire. It was built on an immense half-artificial, half-natural terrace, where the king of kings created an impressive palace complex inspired by Mesopotamian models. The importance and quality of the monumental ruins make it a unique archaeological site. It seems that Darius planned this impressive complex of palaces not only as the seat of government but also, and primarily, as a show place and a spectacular centre for the receptions and festivals of the Achaemenid kings and their empire such as Nowroz (New Year, March 21st)

The next is Necropolis (Naghsh e- Rostam). Opposite Rahmat mountain, ten minutes drive to the north, proudly stands the Necropolis, the magnificent burial place of Achaemenid kings. The site also provides seven bas-reliefs dating back to Elamite and Sassanid period. Stay overnight in Shiraz.

Day 11 : Shiraz

Sightseeing : Nasir al Mulk Mosque , Naranjestan Garden , Zand Complex, Eram Garden and Hafez Tomb.

 

Recent archaeological finds in Tepe Poostchi (Poostchi Mound) dates the city of Shiraz to 6500 ago. Shiraz has been the seat of government in several eras. The name 'Shiraz' has also been found in cuneiform script in Persepolis. Thus, the city houses many historical sites and hosts large number of tourists annually from around the world. Shiraz is the cradle of Persian Civilization, the home to the great Achaemenid and Sassanid kings , and is well known as the city of Persians and the Persian Race.You will visit the city of Persians, and start the tour from Nasir al mulk Mosque that was built in the Qajar era, it took 12 years to complete it in 1888. Its interior reveals a magnificent masterpiece of design with stunning colors. This is a space where light and worship intertwine. The mosque comes to life with the sunrise and the colors dance throughout the day like whirling Dervishes. It reflects on the ground, walls, the arches and the towering spires. It even reflects on the visitors as if a colorful ball is hit by the first sun ray and has exploded into thousands of butterflies all around. Then continue your exploration in Shiraz at the beautiful orange-scented Narenjestan Garden, laid out in the 19th century during the Qajar Dynasty. Then, you will visit Karim Khan Citadel which was built during the Zand Dynasty. You’ll have time to explore Vakil Bazaar, home to hundreds of stores, beautiful courtyards, and even an ancient caravanserai. Day 12 : Bandar Abas

In the morning we drive to Bandar Abas city, Bandar Abbas is a port city and capital of Hormozgan Province on the southern coast of Iran, on the Persian Gulf. Bandar Abas was one of the main ports of Iran on the Silk Road, in a way that the trade caravans would go through the customs procedures in this city and use this route to transport their goods to Europe, Africa, and America. Nowadays, Bandar Abbas is one of the most important trade ports of Iran and it is very popular among the people due to having markets, shopping centers, free sea and gulf, and historical attractions.
